The Wentworth at East Millcreek Earns Zero-Deficiency Rating

On January 3, 2011, The Utah Department of Health awarded The Wentworth at East Millcreek a zero deficiency rating in the annual State Survey review. Congratulations to the fabulous staff serving our residents!

Charity Anywhere Foundation

During December and January, The Wentworth at East Millcreek has hosted a clothing, shoe and blanket drive, to benefit the Charity Anywhere Foundation.  Charity Anywhere is a non-profit organization dedicated to giving service to Anyone, Anywhere in the world.  They have organized service projects as close to home as Twin Falls Idaho and as far away as Ecuador, Haiti, Nicaragua and Mexico. They also organize Dental and Medical expeditions as well as construction and re-construction projects. Thanks to all of your generous donations, we were able to donate box after box of clothing, shoes, wheelchairs and blankets each week.

The Giving Tree

In December, The Wentworth at East Millcreek displayed a “Giving Tree” benefiting the Utah Foster Care Foundation for the 2010 holiday season.  The tree was filled with ornaments which listed a child's Christmas gift wish.  Thanks to all of you who participated, we were able to fulfill the wishes of over 40 children in foster care!

Blood Drive

In December, The Wentworth at East Millcreek in conjunction with the American Red Cross held a blood drive.  We would like to extend a big thanks to all of the community and staff that made this a successful event!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Every October,The Wentworth at East Millcreek puts on an annual Bowling for Breast Cancer event to benefit breastcancer.org.  This exciting event has taken place at our local bowling alley, Mt. Olympus Lanes, for the past two years.  We provide the bowling lanes, shoe rentals, food & drink, an appreciation bag filled with breast cancer gifts and preventative information, a t-shirt and raffle prizes all for just $25 per person with 100% of the proceeds from this bowling event go to breastcancer.org.  Not only do we have a ballin' time, but it also is a very moving event as the battle of breast cancer hits close to home for many of us.  We thank you for supporting this cause and hope to see more of you years to come!
